Sensorimotor for pathologies of the lower extremity 

This 90-minute course deals with typical pain patterns in the context of orthopedic foot orthoses and tries to offer solutions for daily practice. Gait and posture analysis methods can help to identify causes and initiate an active treatment strategy with foot orthoses and exercises. Pediatrists and orthopedic shoe technicians will be taught an active sensorimotor foot orthotic approach. 

Course Learnings: 

• Typical pathologies: Achilles tendons, shin splints, patellofemoral pain syndrome, tractus iliotibial 

• Gait analysis: Identifying functional correlations between movement and orthopedic disorders 

• Develop foot orthotic strategies and solutions in combination with exercise programs for core, fascia, and stabilisation training
